   Unzip the secret rows

   Hold the jacket open and look at the lining: those neat horizontal zips running across the inside aren’t decoration. Run a few of them open and each reveals a tube-shaped pocket. Standard black jacket on the outside, secret wardrobe on the inside, waiting to be filled. Just between us.

   Roll, tuck, no sag

   Here’s the trick worth swearing by: roll each garment into a tidy tube before it goes in, then slide it into one of the inner channels. The rolling is doing the heavy lifting. A packed tube fills the pocket end to end and holds its shape, so nothing droops or slumps and the jacket stays flat and ordinary-looking. No lumps, no tells.

   Pull it on, stroll off

   Zip up, pull it on, and off you go. Because you’re wearing it, it isn’t luggage, just your jacket, and a perfectly normal-looking one at that. Stroll past the gate agent with your whole wardrobe on your back, calm as anything. They’ll never clock it, and you’ll never pay for it. We won’t tell if you won’t.
