How it works

  1. 1Step 1 of 6

    Pop the buckles, lift off

Flick open the metal buckles and lift the lid wide. That’s all the machinery there is — no pump, no vacuum, no power, no batteries. The compression is built into the backpack itself, so it works anywhere, on every trip, with nothing to charge and nothing to break.

    • Flick the metal buckles, lift the lid.
    • No pump, no power, nothing to charge — ever.
  2. 2Step 2 of 6

    Fold, then overfill

Lay your clothes into the base and fold them like you mean it — however you stack them is exactly how they come out, almost wrinkle-free once the two hardshell halves close in. Here’s the clever part: pile it way over the hardshell rim, well past the line you’d call full. The fabric collar is built extra-tall on purpose, so that line you think is full isn’t — go on and overpack, because the compression presses it all down into its final form later. Cinch the drawstrings closed and move on.

    • Lay clothes in flat — they come out the way they went in.
    • Overfill way past the rim. That’s the design.
    • Cinch the drawstrings. Done.
  3. 3Step 3 of 6

    Lid down, spin around

Drop the lid back on and click the buckles just loosely enough to hold — no need to crank yet. Now turn the backpack around and open the quick-access box, then load it with everything you’ll want to grab in a hurry: the liquids you’ll need to show at security, your passport, a powerbank — all the things you want at your fingertips instead of buried under a week of clothes. There’s plenty of room back there, so stash freely.

    • Lid on, buckles loosely clicked.
    • Flip it around: quick-access box for liquids, passport, powerbank.
  4. 4Step 4 of 6

    Lean in, lock it

Pull the straps to compress, press the lid down with your hand — or lean in with your full bodyweight for a properly flat squeeze — then lock it in tight. The buckles are metal and the straps are sewn to take it, so go hard (just rein it in if you bench for a hobby). Then slide your laptop into its slot: it takes a full 14- to 15-inch machine depending on how flat it sits, and roughly 95% of laptops make the cut.

    • Press — or lean in with full bodyweight — and lock it tight.
    • Metal buckles, straps sewn to take it. Go hard.
    • Laptop slot fits 14–15″ (~95% of laptops).
  5. 5Step 5 of 6

    Clip on the extras

Up top you’ll find longer straps for clipping on extra gear — our Compression Neck Pillow, the Packing Jacket, or whatever else you want within easy reach. Everything rides on one compact, tightly packed backpack: hands free, nothing dangling off your shoulder.

    • Top straps clip on the Neck Pillow, the Jacket, whatever.
    • One tight backpack. Hands free.
