Franotech OÜ is the EU distributor of Ryan Wear products and acts as the EU-established point of contact for the matters described below. Residents of the EU and EEA may contact Franotech OÜ at the address above for all product-safety and all data-protection matters relating to Ryan Wear products and this website. Franotech OÜ acts only for the EU/EEA and (for EU product-safety purposes) Northern Ireland; it does not act as our UK representative and does not cover the Great Britain market — for the UK position see the "UK Representative (Article 27 UK GDPR)" section below.

Roles of Franotech OÜ

Franotech OÜ acts in the following capacities:

1. Authorised EU distributor of Ryan Wear products in the European Union.
2. EU/EEA and Northern Ireland responsible economic operator / product-safety responsible person under the EU General Product Safety Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/988, applicable in the EU since 13 December 2024 and in force in Northern Ireland from 13 December 2024) — i.e. the EU-established contact for the safety and compliance of Ryan Wear products placed on the EU/EEA market and the Northern Ireland market.
3. EU Representative of the non-EU controller Ryan Wear LLC under Article 27 of the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), acting as the point of contact for EU/EEA data subjects and supervisory authorities.
4. EU data-protection contact / Data Protection Officer (DPO) for the EU, as voluntarily designated by Ryan Wear LLC (a voluntary EU data-protection point of contact; this is not a formal designation of a Data Protection Officer under Articles 37–39 GDPR).

The Article 27 EU Representative and the Data Protection Officer are technically distinct roles under the GDPR, and the appointment of a DPO here is a voluntary designation rather than a mandatory requirement under Article 37 GDPR. Franotech OÜ serves in both capacities; EU/EEA residents may use the contact details above for any data-protection matter, regardless of which role applies. These EU/EEA roles are separate from the appointment of our UK representative under Article 27 UK GDPR.

The UK representative is the point of contact for the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and for UK data subjects on any matter relating to our processing of UK personal data; using the UK representative does not transfer our responsibility as controller. This is a separate appointment from our EU representative, Franotech OÜ (Estonia): Franotech OÜ does not act as our UK representative, and the UK representative does not act for the EU/EEA.

Product Safety

Product-safety responsibilities differ between the Great Britain (GB) market and the European Union / EEA and Northern Ireland (NI) markets, and are set out separately below.

Great Britain (GB)

For products placed on the Great Britain market, Ryan Wear LLC is the producer and complies with the UK General Product Safety Regulations 2005 — placing only safe products on the market and maintaining traceability and monitoring duties. No UK-established responsible person / authorised-representative address is mandated for these general consumer goods (bags, jackets, pillows) placed on the GB market, and none is appointed for that purpose. The UK Product Regulation and Metrology Act 2025 is a forthcoming / enabling framework rather than a current operative product-safety or labelling duty; we will update this section if and when specific duties take effect under it.

European Union / EEA and Northern Ireland (NI)

In accordance with the EU General Product Safety Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/988, applicable in the EU since 13 December 2024 and in force in Northern Ireland from 13 December 2024), the following identifies the EU-established responsible economic operator for Ryan Wear products placed on the EU/EEA and Northern Ireland markets.

Because the manufacturer (Ryan Wear LLC) is established outside the European Union, an EU-established responsible economic operator (Franotech OÜ) is appointed for the EU/EEA and Northern Ireland markets. Under Articles 16 and 19 of the Regulation, the name and the postal and electronic contact details of both the manufacturer and the responsible person are intended to be shown on the relevant product offer before purchase and to be reflected on the product, its packaging, the parcel or an accompanying document. Franotech OÜ is the responsible economic operator only for the EU/EEA and Northern Ireland; it is not a "UK responsible person" and does not cover the Great Britain market. Legal Basis for This Imprint

This Imprint is provided to meet, among others, the disclosure requirements of § 5 of the German Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz (DDG — the German Digital Services Act / national implementing legislation), which since 14 May 2024 has replaced the former § 5 Telemediengesetz (TMG), together with the EU disclosure norms referenced above, the applicable UK disclosure norms, and applicable US transparency and email-marketing norms (including the inclusion of a valid physical postal address in commercial communications).

VAT & Tax Note

Tax and VAT identifiers are stated only where the relevant entity actually holds them; none are invented. To avoid ambiguity, each identifier is attributed to the entity it belongs to.

• Ryan Wear LLC does not hold a German § 27a UStG VAT identification number unless separately stated.
• Franotech OÜ holds the Estonian VAT number EE102296864 (as stated in the "EU Distributor & EU Contact" section). This is an Estonian number and does not cover UK sales.
• Ryan Wear LLC is registered for UK VAT as a non-established taxable person for sales of low-value (£135 or less) consignments to UK consumers — UK VAT registration number [PLACEHOLDER: UK VAT registration number (GB…)].
• Currency. Prices are shown and charged in the currency selected in the shop's currency switcher — EUR (€), PLN, CZK, HUF, RON, SEK, DKK, GBP (£) or USD ($) — preselected from the visitor's country and language; the amount charged is exactly the amount displayed. Euro (EUR, €) is our base currency: non-euro prices are derived from the euro price at the European Central Bank reference rate plus a small conversion margin, refreshed weekly and rounded up. Refunds are made in the currency the order was paid in.
• UK pricing rule: for UK customers, the applicable rule under the UK Price Marking Order 2004 is that prices are presented in pounds sterling (GBP, £) inclusive of UK VAT; sterling can be selected in the currency switcher and is then the price shown and charged, while the euro remains the base currency from which our prices are derived.

Online Dispute Resolution

The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued and fully closed on 20 July 2025, and the legal basis requiring traders to link to it has been repealed. We therefore do not provide a link to that platform.

EU/EEA consumers who wish to pursue an out-of-court resolution may instead contact the national consumer-protection authority or alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body in their country of residence, or the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net). We are not obliged to, and do not commit to, use any particular ADR entity. This does not affect your right to bring a complaint to us directly at service@ryanwear.net, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Consumer Rights & Returns

Details of your returns and refund rights are set out in our Refund & Return Policy and in our Terms of Service. In summary, EU/EEA consumers have, in addition to our voluntary 30-day store return policy, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts (Directive 2011/83/EU) and the statutory legal guarantee of conformity of at least two years (Directive (EU) 2019/771); these mandatory rights are independent of, and additional to, any voluntary policy or commercial warranty. A new EU online "withdrawal button" for distance contracts is being introduced from around June 2026; where applicable it will be made available to consumers in addition to the existing ways of exercising the right of withdrawal.

As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages under the general laws.
