Accessibility Statement

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, aligned with EN 301 549 and the European Accessibility Act (EAA, Directive (EU) 2019/882), which applies to e-commerce services from 28 June 2025.

“Aims to conform” means we have built the site to these standards and test against them, while we continue to fix issues as they are found. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing process, not a one-off task.

Every page includes an accessibility menu, opened from the accessibility button in the bottom-right corner (or the “Accessibility menu” link in the footer). It lets you personalise the site without any plugin or account. Your choices are saved on your device and applied automatically on your next visit. Available tools include:

• One-tap profiles — Seizure Safe, Vision Impaired, ADHD Friendly, Dyslexia Friendly, Low Vision and Reduced Motion.
• Content — larger text, increased line, letter and word spacing, a highly legible font (Atkinson Hyperlegible), a reading-tuned font (Lexend), left-aligned text, and link/heading highlighting.
• Colour & contrast — dark contrast, high contrast, inverted colours, monochrome, and lower or higher saturation.
• Orientation tools — a reading guide, a reading mask, a bigger cursor, image hiding, paused animations and a strong keyboard-focus indicator.

The menu is an aid on top of an accessible foundation — the site is also designed to work well with your browser’s own zoom and settings and with assistive technologies directly.

• Semantic HTML landmarks, a “skip to main content” link and a logical heading structure.
• Full keyboard operability with a clearly visible focus indicator on interactive elements.
• Text and interface colours checked to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio (at least 4.5:1 for body text).
• Respect for the operating-system “reduce motion” setting, plus a manual pause-animations control.
• Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images and accessible names for buttons and links.
• Forms with associated labels and clear, programmatically-linked error and status messages.
• Responsive layouts that reflow to 400% zoom and support larger text without loss of content.

The website is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge) on desktop and mobile, and with common assistive technologies such as screen readers (e.g. NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack) and speech-recognition and magnification tools. It is best experienced with your browser and operating system kept up to date.

Despite our efforts, some limitations may remain. We are working to resolve the following:

• Some third-party content we embed — for example the payment provider’s checkout fields — is outside our direct control; we choose accessible providers and report issues to them.
• Background videos and decorative animations are presentational; they can be paused from the accessibility menu or via your “reduce motion” setting.
• Older, user-generated or automatically-imported media may occasionally lack an ideal text alternative; we correct these as we find them.
